The Lord said He gave Israel a king in His anger and took him away in His wrath (Hos 13:11) - when He took that king away, the walls of Jerusalem were breached by Nebuchadnezzar. The Lord sent Israel into captivity (Ezek 12:11) even though the many false prophets of Israel said Ezekiel's words were for the distant future (vv. 27-28). He sent His holy nation Israel into captivity because generations of the nation would not walk in His ways, and profaned His Sabbaths (Ezek 20:8, 13, 16, 21, 24).
The holy nation of Israel was first physical (Exod 19:5-6), then following Calvary became spiritual (1 Pet 2:9). Israel is the woman of Revelation chapter 12 who first brings forth the male child who will rule all nations, Christ Jesus (Rev 12:5), then brings forth offspring "who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus" (v. 17). And in all Scripture, the physical precedes the spiritual (1 Cor 15:46), and the visible reveals the invisible (Rom 1:20). The history of physical Israel reveals the history of spiritual Israel in the heavenly realm.
The walls of physical Jerusalem were rebuilt under the guidance of Nehemiah. Using burnt stones and girded with swords, the remnant of Israel that had returned to "The Land Across the River" secured the holy city so that this nation of God could live safely under the king of Babylon (Ezra 5:13) and under the first great king of Greece. This peace continues until Antiochus Epiphanes' persecution of the remnant. But Jesus identifies the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel as an endtime man of perdition, not Antiochus Epiphanes ordering pigs sacrificed on the temple altar and a statue of Zeus erected in the Holy of holies.
The work of Nehemiah was the shadow of the endtime spiritual work of Christ Jesus, of the angel of the Church in Philadelphia, and of saints in that Church. Spiritual Israel was, in the Lord's anger, given a spiritual king for the same reasons that the physically circumcised nation requested and received a king - Israel wanted to be like other nations; the nation rejected God as its king. Greek converts to Christianity wanted to retain their core beliefs; spiritual Israel wanted to be like other religions, believing that eternal life was received with human conception. The nation rejected all that it perceived as "Jewish." Christians became spiritual Gentiles, not spiritual Israelites. So God gave the nation a spiritual king: the great horn of the king of Greece. He then delivered His holy nation into the hand of the spiritual king of Babylon (Isa 14:4-14).
Halfway through seven years of tribulation, the Holy Spirit will be poured out upon all of humanity (Joel 2:28). The kingdom of the world will become the kingdom of the Most High and of His Christ (Rev 11:15). Satan and his angels will be cast from heaven (Rev 12:9). The man of perdition - the shadow of fallen Satan coming as the true antiChrist - will be broken (Dan 7:9-14) by a flood swallowing his armies (Rev 12:16; Exod 15:12; Dan 9:26). No one will come to his rescue (Dan 11:45). And all of humanity will become the holy nation of Israel.
Satan has deceived the whole world (Rev 21:9) by reigning over humanity's mental topography as the prince of the power of the air (Eph 2:2). But when he is cast from heaven and the kingdom of the world is given to Christ so that the harvest of earth can be reaped (Rev 14:15), Satan's mental bondservants are liberated from bondage to sin. He will try to physically recapture his liberated slaves by requiring all to take the mark of the beast: Chi xi stigma, the tattoo of the Cross.
Under the antiChrist, the Christianity of the Cross will stand opposed to the Christianity of Christ; it stands, today, prior to the mental liberation of all Israel, opposed to Christ. It will persecute and kill Christ's disciples just as the man Jesus of Nazareth was sacrificed on a Cross, for the Lord will give liberated Israel into the hand of the little horn of the Cross for a time, times, and half a time (Dan 7:25). He will turn His hand against two parts (or two-thirds) of the holy ones (Zech 13:7-8); He is the nobleman returned from a far land who ordered seven of ten of His servants slaughtered, the servants who would not be ruled by him (Luke 19:14, 27). And He turns His hand against the holy ones by delivering them into the hand of the little horn of the cross-shaped fourth beast of Daniel chapter seven (v. 25). It was this beast that the Emperor Constantine saw in the sky.
The Lord gave physical Israel statutes by which the nation could not live - the holy nation of God polluted itself by offering up its firstborns (Ezek 20:25-26). Today, spiritual Israel pollutes itself by sacrificing its little ones by teaching them to erase the laws of God written on spiritually circumcised hearts and minds (Jer 31:33; Hen 8:10 & 10:16; Deu 30:6-10). The Apostle Paul's law of faith (Rom 3:27) is his righteousness that comes by faith (Rom 10:6-8) and Paul cites as the righteousness that comes from faith the second covenant (Deu 29:1) mediated by Moses (Deu 30:11-14). This visible, physical second covenant made with uncircumcised Israelites (Jos 5:2-7) is the shadow of the invisible, spiritual second covenant made with uncircumcised Israelites today. The second covenant's mediator changed from the physical man Moses who was to be as God to Aaron (Exod 4:16) to the glorified Christ, a life-giving spirit (1 Cor 15:45) and truly God (John 1:1-2, 14). So it is Christ today who has set before each disciple eternal life or the second death (Deu 30:15) - and the man Jesus said not to be surprised when some disciples are resurrected to life, and some are resurrected to condemnation (John 5:29).
Even though the Lord gave physical Israel statutes by which the holy nation could not live so that the nation might be horrified by its practice of burning its firstborns, Israel was never horrified. Likewise, Israel today is not horrified when it teaches born-again disciples to erase the laws of God from hearts and minds, thereby committing spiritual suicide - Christ, today, teaches disciples to live as spiritual Judeans, not as spiritual Gentiles. The righteousness of disciples must exceed the righteousness of Pharisees (Matt 5:20). Genuine disciples will keep and will teach others to keep the least of the commandments (v. 19). The genuine saints are those who keep the commandments of God and hold the testimony of Jesus (Rev 12:17). And Jesus, in His Sermon on the Mount, gave the comparison between the visible, physical commandments of God and the invisible, spiritual commandments: physical adultery becomes spiritual lust; physical murder becomes spiritual hate. Jesus didn't magnify the commandments, but revealed the comparison between the invisible laws of God written on the hearts and minds of born again saints with the visible old written code abolished at Calvary (Eph 2:15). Disciples are no longer under the law, but have internalized the law. The laws of God are no longer outside of disciples, but as near as their consciences.
Whereas Christ had wholly delivered Israel into the hand of a spiritual king, knowing full well that the ministers for this spiritual king would eventually teach disciples to commit spiritual suicide, He was sacrificed as Israel's paschal lamb so that this holy nation could be liberated from its mental bondage just as the physical nation was liberated from physical bondage to Pharaoh. Disciples are to cover themselves with the blood of the Lamb of God by taking the Passover as Jesus gave the example. To not cover themselves is to make themselves into spiritual Egyptians - spiritual Gentiles.
REPAIRING THE BREACH is a ministry devoted to teaching spiritual Israelites to live as spiritual Judeans (Gal 2:14 - read this passage in its original Greek), not as spiritual Egyptians or Babylonians or Greeks. It is a ministry dedicated to teaching the Christianity of Christ - and it stands opposed to the murdering, cross-shaped fourth beast of Daniel chapter seven, whose image the antiChrist makes his recaptured slaves worship. Just as David's older brothers wondered what kind of mischief he was about when he asked why no one accepted Goliath's challenge, this ministry is about making mischief against the Cross, whom Christ will slay when He fights on a day of battle (Zech 14:3) halfway through seven years of tribulation. This ministry isn't about making peace, but about preparing a people to endure to the end - when all of humanity becomes the holy nation of Israel, all who endure to the end shall be saved (Matt 24:13). This is the good news that must be proclaimed to the world as a witness to all nations before the end comes (v. 14). And you have now had this good news proclaimed to you. Amen.
